Mr. Alexiou is an attorney licensed to practise in The Bahamas, England & Wales, and the Turks & Caicos Islands. He was appointed Executive Vice-Chairman of Colina Insurance Limited (formerly ColinaImperial Insurance Ltd.) in July 2008 after serving as Chairman and as a Director of the Board of Directors of Colina Holdings Bahamas Limited. He is a Director of Banque Privee Edmond De Rothschild (Bahamas) Limited, Hang Seng Bank Limited (Bahamas), Hang Seng Trust Company Limited (Bahamas), CFAL Ltd., Ansbacher (Bahamas) Limited, SBL Ltd., Colina Holdings Bahamas Limited, AF Holdings Ltd. and The Nassau Guardian (1844) Limited.
Catherine Williams
Vice President, Finance
Before joining the executive management team at Colina, Ms. Williams served as Group Financial Controller at Colina Financial Group (now A.F. Holdings). Earlier in her career, Ms. Williams was a Senior Associate with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Canada and in Nassau, Bahamas. She has been a Chartered Accountant with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants since November 1999. She is also a member of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants. In addition to the Finance area, Ms. Williams also has responsibility for the Reinsurance Administration and Central Processing Units of the Company.
Marcus J. Bosland
Resident Actuary
A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries since 2001, Mr. Bosland graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo (Ontario) with a joint honours degree in Actuarial Science/Economics. Prior to joining Colina, Mr. Bosland was the Assistant Vice President in the actuarial department of a Caribbean-based Insurer.
Lindon Nairn
Vice President, Life Division
Mr. Lindon Nairn, a Certified Public Accountant, was appointed Vice President of the Life Division of Colina in 2009. He previously served as President of Colina General Insurance Agency. Mr. Nairn’s professional career has included a number of senior executive positions in the private sector, including Chief Financial Officer, Super Value Food Stores; Deputy Managing Director, Bank of The Bahamas; and President, Maxim Management & Consultants Limited.
Emmanuel Komolafe
Chief Risk Officer
Mr. Komolafe is responsible for the implementation of the Company’s risk management and compliance framework. Previously Group Compliance Officer at AF Holdings Ltd. and Policy Officer at the Central Bank of The Bahamas, he was responsible for drafting guidelines, regulations and amendments to financial services laws. He holds degrees in Accountancy, Business Economics, Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering, as well as a Master of Laws degree in banking law, securities regulation and international law. Mr. Komolafe is a member of the Institute of Risk Management, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and International Compliance Association in the UK.
Wendy Butler
Vice President, Life Operations
Mrs. Butler has responsibility for directing the administrative functions of the Individual Life Division, including establishing the Company’s standard for customer service and developing ongoing process improvements to enhance service quality through the management of the Policyholder Services Unit. Mrs. Butler began her career in the insurance industry in 1990 and brings over 20 years of life and health insurance industry experience and knowledge of insurance operations, assuming progressive supervisory and management roles in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulatory Compliance, and Life Claims throughout three of the Company’s legacy entities (American Life Insurance Company-ALICO, Global Life Assurance Bahamas Ltd, and Imperial Life Financial).
