Colina Supports 2025 GGYA Golf TournamentNassau, The Bahamas, June 21, 2025 – Colina Insurance Limited proudly participated in the 23rd annual Duke of Edinburgh Cup Semi-Finals Golf Tournament. The event, which serves as the primary fundraiser for the Governor General’s Youth Award (GGYA) programme, brought together corporate teams and community leaders in support of youth development across The Bahamas.
Representing Colina on the green were Chris Frye, Jeremy Morris, Ramon Meadows, and Derick McIntosh, who competed as a four-member team under the Legacy Sponsor tier. Colina’s participation underscores the company’s longstanding commitment, spanning over 20 years, to empowering Bahamian youth through character-building initiatives, like GGYA, through its partnership with Atlantis Bahamas.
Proceeds from the event directly support GGYA’s mission to promote personal growth, leadership, and life skills through physical recreation, volunteer service, skill development, and adventurous journeys.
“Colina is honoured to support the GGYA and its transformative work with young Bahamians,” said Maxine Seymour, Director of Corporate Communications. “We believe in investing in the future, and this tournament is a meaningful way to do just that.”
Tournament winners will advance to the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals in the United Kingdom, where they’ll compete near Windsor Castle and attend a formal dinner hosted by a member of the Royal Family.
The weekend featured a Student Golf Clinic on Saturday, followed by the tournament. The event was held at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island.
