Nassau, The Bahamas, January 23, 2026 – Colina Insurance Limited recently hosted its Annual Awards Day, an internal ceremony focused on highlighting employees across administrative and sales areas, including the Employee of the Year and other staff-based awards.

The Employee of the Year award was presented to Apryl Cleare, a Contact Centre Representative whose role places her at the forefront of client engagement. Through her daily interactions, Cleare consistently demonstrates care, patience, and professionalism, reflecting the standard of service Colina strives to deliver.

Employees were also recognized throughout the year as Employees of the Quarter for their outstanding performance. First-quarter awardees included Ethel Lightbourn, who received the Superstar award, Enrique Pyfrom, named Coach of the Quarter, and Apryl Cleare, who received the Count on Me award. During the second quarter, recognitions were presented to Verneisha Moore for Count on Me, Toni Bethel for Service Excellence, Mark Darling for Innovation, and Chantal Horton as Superstar.

Third-quarter awards were presented to Na’Kayla Adderley for Service Excellence and April Arahna for Count on Me. In the fourth quarter, the Finance/AP team was collectively named Superstar of the Quarter, recognizing the contributions of Kayle Munroe, Tashell Pennerman, and Crystal Glinton. Additional fourth-quarter recognitions included Samantha McKenzie-Green for Count on Me, Joy Buchanan for Service Excellence, and Vashti Adderley as Coach of the Quarter.

Milestone Awards were also presented to employees in recognition of their years of dedicated service to the organization. Employees celebrating five years of service included Davinia Allen, Leonardo Ferguson, Sametri Bowe, Samantha Adderley, Tammy Miller, and Vernado Deal. Ten-year milestone awards were presented to Gidette Hanna and Trina March. Employees recognized for 15 years of service included Anastacia Gray, Andrewnique Johnson, and Maqueria Rolle.

Employees marking 20 years of service were Ethel Lightbourn and Kolleen Minnis, while Charles Nevins III and Shanique Russell-Sweeting were recognized for 25 years of service. Indira Sands marked 30 years with the organization, and Christine Knowles was honoured for 35 years of service.

The People HR Award was presented to Dahl Alston, recognizing his contribution to fostering a supportive and people-centered workplace culture.

Held at Atlantis, the Awards Day ceremony concluded with a celebratory gathering marked by music, laughter, and shared moments. Guest experiences such as photo booths and henna tattoos added to the atmosphere, creating a memorable close to the day.
