Nassau, The Bahamas, February 27, 2026 – Colina Insurance Limited (Colina) supported the Insurance Commission of The Bahamas’ Women in Insurance 2026 Leadership Conference as a Momentum Builder Partner. The conference brought together professionals to engage in meaningful conversations on growth and the evolving role of women in insurance.

In the panel discussion “Credibility is Currency: Owning Influence Through Technical Mastery,” Sapna Chatlani, who serves as the Vice President of Group and Health Benefits at Colina, contributed her expertise as one of the panellists. She joined Irene Pintard, Rameesha Dean and Latonia Tucker in a dynamic exchange on leadership and professional development.

Chatlani emphasised that professional standing is not static, but something that must be actively built and maintained over time. “Credibility is something you have to continue to develop. It requires continuous learning and putting yourself out there,” she said.

She also highlighted the importance of networking in expanding one’s impact beyond technical expertise. “I qualified as an actuary, but leadership requires us to continue learning and master different techniques in order to effectively lead our teams,” Chatlani added.

The conference, held under the theme “Breaking Barriers Reload: Advancement to Influence,” created space for meaningful dialogue, reflecting the importance of empowering women and supporting their growth, values that remain important to Colina.
