Nassau, The Bahamas, May 3, 2025 – Colina Insurance Limited (Colina) took its support for Autism Awareness Month to the streets as the primary sponsor of the annual Resources and Education for Autism and related Challenges (R.E.A.C.H.) Fun Run Walk. The event brought together enthused runners, eager walkers and many others who wanted to spread awareness for autism.

Participants gathered before sunrise, anticipating the start of the route that would take them from Montague Beach to Shirley Street, over the bridge to Paradise Island, and back to Montague Beach. From the warm-up sessions, it was clear that excitement buzzed through the air.

“Throughout the month, Colina has been fervent in its commitment to Autism Awareness Month,” shared Maxine V. Seymour. “We have made a $15,000 donation, displayed blue lights on the exterior of our office at 308 East Bay Street, and our employees have been purchasing t-shirts from R.E.A.C.H. and wearing them every Friday. Our dedication to autism awareness is deep-rooted.”

Proceeds from the Fun Run Walk will go toward programs and initiatives that directly benefit individuals diagnosed with autism and their families, providing much-needed resources, care, and growth opportunities.

“Colina’s support for autism awareness does not end in April but is year-round and will continue to grow so that the larger community can receive the resources needed to live a quality-filled life,” expressed Seymour.
