Colina presents $4,000 scholarship to The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year finalist
Nassau, The Bahamas, May 23, 2026 – Hailey Williams, a student of Bishop Michael Eldon School in Grand Bahama, ranking an impressive 13th among the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation’s award nominees, was awarded a $4,000 scholarship donated by Colina Insurance Limited during the foundation’s recent awards ceremony.
The event was held on May 23 at Bahamas Faith Ministries, which was filled with cheers from proud parents and supporters in honor of the students. This year, 123 nominees, representing 14 islands, were awarded more than $286,000 in scholarships and more than $65,000 in prizes.
“Hailey epitomizes excellence in academics, leadership, character, and service, and Colina is truly honored to support her,” said Maxine Seymour, director of corporate communications at Colina.
“We wish Hailey continued success as she pursues her academic endeavors. A youth march and rally for the nominees were also held on May 23 at The Mall at Marathon. In addition, an appreciation luncheon for donors, sponsors, and partners was held on May 24 at the Paul Farquharson Conference Center, Royal Bahamas Police Force Headquarters, East Street.
