Employee volunteers at the Colina booth during the ACE Diabetes Expo.

On-Site at ACE Diabetes Expo

Nassau, The Bahamas, December 2, 2019 – Company representatives were present at the ACE Diabetes Expo this past weekend to speak to members of the public about coverage for diabetes under the various health insurance plans offered at Colina. Employees also answered questions and asked questions as they educated persons on all aspects of insurance – issuing prizes for those who were able to respond accurately to key trivia.

“Consumer education is important to us at Colina as we believe that knowledge is power,” said Maxine Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina Insurance Limited.

“Participants were empowered at today’s event and can now make better decisions to embrace lifestyle changes and pursue prevention, where possible, rather than cure,” said Seymour. “This event has also taught those with diabetes how to live a full life while managing the disease.”

Colina sponsored the 4th annual event held on November 30, 2019 at the Baha Mar Convention Center. Health screenings, flu shots and healthy cooking demonstrations, along with other educational and engaging activities were offered without charge to the public.
